DUNIWAY, Circuit Judge: In these appeals appellant attacks the compensation allowed to the trustee's attorney and to the referee's salary and expense fund for services of the referee-special master in a Chapter X Bankruptcy Proceeding. The applicable statute is 11 U.S.C. § 641 which authorizes the court to allow ""reasonable compensation for services rendered * * * in a proceeding under this chapter."" Thus the standard is reasonableness, and in applying it the trial court is necessarily vested with a substantial discretion. Nevertheless, we have concluded that in these appeals, we should reverse.
